Markets may be shifting, but the need for speed, accuracy, and compliance isn’t slowing down. This month, we are breaking down the new AVM quality-control standards and sharing insights from the field to help you stay ahead and close with confidence.
AVMs: New Federal Quality-Control Standards
The OCC, FDIC, NCUA, CFPB, FHFA, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, have finalized Automated Valuation Model (AVM) rules mandated by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. These rules take effect October 1, 2025.
The final rule requires covered institutions to adopt quality-control standards that:
These measures strengthen public trust in AVMs and ensure greater equity in automated valuations. At Nationwide, our Alternative Valuation Solutions align with these requirements, enabling lenders to move faster with confidence.

Effective October 1, 2025. The rule implements Section 1125 of Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act (as amended by the Dodd-Frank Act)
