February marks Black History Month, a time to recognize the contributions, leadership, and impact of Black individuals who have helped shape history and continue to influence communities and industries today.
Black History Month recognizes a legacy of leadership, innovation, and resilience that continues to shape our country today. It is a time to reflect on history with respect and awareness, and to acknowledge the lasting impact of those who have helped move progress forward.
For those interested, trusted organizations, including the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, PBS, and the National Archives, offer resources that provide historical context and highlight the lasting contributions of Black leaders and communities.

Evaluating rental potential earlier in the decision-making process can significantly reduce risk and improve outcomes for lenders, investors, and real estate professionals.
Our latest RentIQ blog explores how early-stage rental income insights help teams compare long-term and short-term rental scenarios before moving into formal valuation. By bringing real-time data into the conversation sooner, stakeholders gain clarity faster and avoid costly pivots later in the process.

Recently, our leadership team spent time together in Atlanta for in-person meetings and planning sessions focused on the year ahead. Being in the same room allowed for more thoughtful conversations, deeper alignment, and the connection that is hard to replicate day to day.
Alongside productive meetings, there was time to connect over shared meals and informal discussions, which are just as important to how we work together toward common goals.
These moments help strengthen communication, clarify priorities, and reinforce the relationships behind the work we do every day.
As we continue into the year, we are moving forward with focus and momentum, grounded in strategic planning and supported by the people who carry that work forward.

Recent rental market data points to more balanced conditions across many U.S. markets. National rent growth has moderated, and vacancy rates have increased in several metros, shifting the focus away from scarcity-driven pricing and toward more careful, market-specific evaluation.
Reporting from Realtor.com highlights how these changes are giving renters more options while requiring owners and investors to take a closer look at local performance.
At the same time, insights from Zillow show that rental conditions continue to vary widely by market. This divergence underscores the importance of understanding rental potential early, before assumptions become long-term decisions.
In an environment where clarity matters more than speed alone, early-stage rental insight helps teams compare scenarios, assess risk, and plan with greater confidence. Resources like RentIQ are designed to support that earlier analysis by bringing rental context into the conversation sooner, helping stakeholders make more informed decisions as market conditions evolve.
